Christy Maskeroni, MS RDN LD CPT

Christy Maskeroni, MS RDN LD CPT believes the key to long-term health and enjoyment is through an integration of lifestyle components including good food, movement, and healthy stresses.

With a rich background in nutrition science and exercise physiology as well as a passion for integrative and functional medicine, she works extensively with individuals to improve their overall health and function.

It is Christy’s belief that everyone has a different story (and pathway) that contributes to his or her health and well-being, and it is her goal to guide her clients on a path rooted in the belief that food is medicine.

Whether it is navigating a new change, finding recipes, deciphering food labels, or finding ways to reduce stress and improve your quality of life, Christy will help you take the steps to fully integrating a healthy lifestyle.

And, with her background as a Certified Yoga Teacher and Personal Trainer, she has a unique ability to provide additional techniques to help her clients find that mind/body balance. If you change your physiology, you might just change your psychology.

Christy holds a Master of Science in Nutrition and Applied Physiology from Columbia University, Teachers College, and is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She is also a Certified 200 hour Yoga Instructor and a Certified Personal Trainer.

She has been working in the health and wellness field for over a decade and is excited to be a part of such an integrated team of health professionals at Carpathia Collaborative.

She is also currently working on her Integrated and Functional Nutrition Certification through IFNA so that she can continue to navigate and support the myriad of factors that contribute to the story of each individual’s overall health and well-being.

Christy’s love for nature as medicine spill into her home life too.

From gardening to experimenting with recipes to learning more about essential oils and herbal education, you will always find Christy seeking to absorb of what nature can provide for us and applying that knowledge to improve overall health and function.

“We cannot limit ourselves to treating disease. We must go further and deeper to understand the process and causative factors and then do progressive work on these. Many times the apparent disease is really a process in which the body is attempting to make itself better and create and opportunity for each of us to really listen to the natural rhythm of our own heartbeat.”
