MY PERSONAL STORY

Along the way in my career, I realized that my most important and life-changing role was to be a father to my young twins.  On the cusp of the pandemic, I became a stay-at-home dad and had the privilege of watching my children grow.   Although my heart expanded beyond my understanding, it was through the sleepless nights, and long and exhausting days, that I placed myself last.  I experienced my own health challenges and looked to functional medicine for help.  I had always treated my body as if it was a machine but discovered that it is more like a garden that needs to be nourished and nurtured.

This is where I found my love for Functional Medicine because it addresses the root cause of disease.  I completely and deeply understood how the mind, body, and soul connection come together to manifest my whole health.  It is my deepest desire to help my clients navigate their own personal and unique health journey with curiosity, compassion, patience, and vulnerability.

My favorite quote, which has always been true to my heart was said by Theodore Roosevelt.  He said, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

I love spending time with my wife, son, and daughter, and cooking delicious healthy meals for them.  I love to exercise, meditate daily, and keeping my heart open for life’s flow to emerge.

Degrees, Certifications, Training

Aaron Gallegos is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.  He obtained his Master of Science in Nursing degree with Honors at the University of Texas at El Paso.  His long-standing medical career of over 30 years began as a US NAVY Hospital Corpsman, where he cared for service members and their families.  His devotion to service and love of learning compelled him to earn his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Texas at El Paso.  His diverse nursing experience, as an ER nurse for over a decade, a Cath Lab nurse, a flight nurse for a fixed-wing air ambulance, and his multiple international medical trips to Ghana and Haiti.

His compassion for patients dealing with emergencies, health disparities, and chronic illnesses motivated him to further his interest in focusing on disease prevention and chronic illness by becoming a Nurse Practitioner when working in a GI practice, ER observation unit, and occupational health.

He firmly believes that most medical emergencies are a cry for help within our bodies and a key turning point to addressing the root cause of disease.  He believes in empowering his clients with practical knowledge, while offering compassionate understanding to effectively create a sacred space where integration and co-creation can occur.  He is fluent in English and in Spanish, and feels that at the core of every person is the desire to connect and be understood.

He is a graduate of FMCA (Functional Medicine Coaching Academy).  In addition, he has been certified as a Heart-Coherence practitioner through the HeartMath Institute, which he has been able to implement when meeting with his clients.

He is the founder and owner of Ever Flowing Health LLC and has found a renewed passion by authentically connecting with his coaching clients.  He recently completed the Functional Medicine curriculum at the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) and is preparing to become fully certified as an IFM practitioner.
